Schottenstein Residence Hall Dorm Reviews at CCAD

My experience was very uncomfortable, there was absolutely no social interaction with my roommate due to his constant sexual harassment, emailed housing and didn't get a response back. Security of the dormitory made me anxious for intruders due to how easy it was for people to come in before 8PM.

The place is homey and a nice change from my usual bedroom. Itβs nice to live away from home. I love that the gym is in the same building so it is very easy for me to go workout and not leave the building. Everyone is so friendly and sweet.

Schottenstein Residence Hall, located near the middle of the CCAD campus is an amazing dorm experience for upcoming freshmen. The environment is usually quiet besides the common space areas. Each floor depends on the level of volume but occasionally, a large group of friends will occupy the space for hours. Overall, the residence hall stays neat and orderly most of the time and offers great connections for new students but can sometimes be crowded and rowdy.

The dorms are a little cramped. There are about 10 dorms down each hallway, five on each side, with usually four people inside. The dorm rooms are small, two people in each room with a tiny bathroom, so you get comfortable quick. It's a great way to make a best friend or your worst enemy. The common room spaces are comfortable, and the basement is a nice hangout space with a full kitchen. The garden area outside of the dorms was my favorite part. Overall a decent experience.

I stayed at the Schottenstein Residence Hall as a freshman at CCAD. I loved that each room has its own bathroom! I felt like the unique dorm layout provided a more private college experience than traditional dormitories. I also loved the convenient location on campus, as well as the beautiful nature garden in the front of the building. The staff was always friendly. There is key card access into the building for security. Bring a rug, I remember the floors were always really cold at night.

Schott is the quintessential college dorm room experience. The entire building has a slightly cramped, prison-like atmosphere, but it is safe and central to campus. The common areas are very large and accessible, and the security is very good in the building.
