Know the people you're dorming with, if not you might have to deal with people you don't like and have to move to another dorm. It's better to be friends with the people in the dorms instead of strangers. If you're not from the state and or area you might have a harder time getting a long with the people there. I was stuck with people who were very negative and immature, I ended up moving two week after dorming and then move in with seniors who were a floor above me.
