Burnett Residence Hall Dorm Reviews at Carson-Newman

Burnett is fully redone and it was so pretty and it actually felt like home away from home. I loved every minute of it and i wish i could go back and live there again. I have met some of my best friends there and i would not change it for the world.

While I did appreciate that the university made some upgrades to the dorm rooms this past year, the commons areas were severely lacking. Several of the furniture were breaking and falling apart, and I had several friends fall because of this. In addition, the commons areas that did exist were poorly decorated and the TVs did not work. There also were very few study areas in the dorm.

My experience has been good! it's a nice place for the incoming freshman. very clean. The staff is super friendly. There are common areas downstairs although they don't get used much. There is also a small kitchen which is pretty convenient, but you have to check out pots and pans while there is someone at the from dest which is kind of a hassle. But it is still a nice place and the location is great, I can walk everywhere!

my freshman year we had a gas leak that my roommate and i reported months in advance and it took them evacuating the building to do anything about it. Firefighters came in to get us out of the dorm and paramedics checked us out

I absolutely love Burnett and the people in it ! Made me feel at home! The RA’s are great and take care of things as fast as they can. The staff is the nicest and the maintenance takes care of everything for us!
