The only thing that would make living in the dorms somewhat uncomfortable would be other students. They tend to keep up with maintenance pretty well. Dorms automatically include meal plans so food isn’t an issue and some dorms do come with kitchens so people can prepare their own meals.

From my current experience, my dorm is clean. I do have a problem with how loud my roommates are. My door does not lock and I have told my RA and he hasn't done anything about it. When my key stopped working they did assist me in getting it fixed.
