Prairie Place @ GSU Dorm Reviews at Governors State

It’s been a great experience so far. Everyone is so nice. I will definitely recommend it. There is a lot of space at the dorm. It has a great and spacious areas to study or relax too. The laundry area is very nice. There are a lot of kitchen so you can prepare you own food.

In 2021 I decided to move into this dorm building, and my experience was horrific, considering the fact that it was more girls than it was boys, and for those who may not know living with more girls can cause a lot of unnecessary conflicts, which resulted into me, moving off campus because they took my distraction from my education onto the threats I have in a counter based off another female lie who was my former roommate. I wouldn't say I don't recommend moving into the dorm building because that was my personal experience, but I just to be aware that everyone who comes on to the campus won't think the same issue as far as creating the campus life experience.

My experience is nice, I'll be staying in Prairie Place again the in Fall of 2021 as a junior, my first 2 years were nice. Both the suites and apartment style dorms are spacious to an extent and the residents are really nice. If your looking for a dorm that's less than 500 people then Prairie Place is right for you. Since the dorm is small, it's easy for you to get to know someone and for your problems to be solved easily. The staff are nice, and the school is located, in basically the middle of nowhere so a lot of people don't know where the school is, which means, a lot of people don't know where the dorm is, and we have police officers patrolling the school at all times, so safety isn't a issue.

Prairie Place is a nice dormitory. I love the 4 bdrm suite because it provided personal space. As long as you stick to your studied and have a great group of people around you, the environment is great.

Prairie Place is a great experience for me because. It help me be responsible and learn how to live with others. also Prairie Place is very friendly, the staffs are very nice if you need help they will help and support you with anything you need. The RA are very nice too, since the COVID-19 the RA come to the dorms and see if the rooms and the other places is clean they also tell us to wear our mask.

Although Prairie Place has its flaws, I am grateful to have somewhere to live. I never had a stable environment to live in or a safe home, so being able to stay on campus is a major blessing. Prairie Place might be a bit messy but it is very very safe. And it is a place I call home.
