My experience at Crever has been a good one. I have everything I need in the building to be comfortable, and the staff is more than friendly. What I love the most about Crever is the lounge area it has in the basement. There are two lounge rooms and they boast a TV with tables in the common space for you to do work. There are couches in the lounge area in case you wanted to feel more at home while watching TV. One of the lounges even has a foosball table in case you wanted to destress with a friend and play a quick game. To me, I value these study rooms a lot because on days when I do not feel like making a trip to the library, the lounge was there for me at my convenience.
One day I was studying in the Crever basement when my roomate came downstairs to check on me. He recommended that we played a few games of foosball to get my mind off my studies. At first, I was hesitant to play. I knew I probably wasn't that good and I usually spend my study breaks pointlessly scrolling on social media; my preferred option for a break. However, I told myself why not as the friendly challenge from my roomate could have served to be a nice change in pace. We played a few games and I had lots of fun. The game tested my hand-eye coordination and even though I did not win a single game out of the 3 we played, I felt I had used my study break effectively. As a result, I felt energized as I returned back to my studies.
Moments like these make me happy I live in Crever, having that foosball table at my disposal proved to be worthwhile and fun. I would suggest living in Crever for anyone looking for a change in environment from their typical dorm lounge area.
