Bittner Hall Dorm Reviews at Messiah

RA didn't care much, custodial staff gave up halfway through the year and you can hear screaming and yelling down the hall. I stayed in the last quad all the way down the hall but was told constantly how loud people were by those who lived closer to the others. Things could be better or worse, depending on who you talk to. Closest student building to campus though. Great girls, great hall, decent living situation overall.

I enjoyed having the opportunity to live in a quad as opposed to just a 2 person dorm. My roommates and I are athletes so this dorm gave us a lot of room to house our equipment. The walls were all push pin board so this was nice for hanging whatever we needed. There was adequate furniture to store clothing and books and have a desk. During Covid 19 this room was a nice size to spread out and have a lot of personal space as well. They allow you to bring your own mini refrig, microwave and TV. Each individual room also has its own temperature control with nice large windows overlooking a part of the campus. The down side of this dorm was the common bathroom. Some toilets and showers were not in working order and the bathroom was not cleaned on a daily basis which I would have thought they would have been. Instead they had a weekly cleaning schedule.

I enjoyed my experience at Bittner. The location of the dorm is super convenient to get to the desirable places on campus like dining facilities and the gym. It was also closest to all of my buildings for my classes. The only downside was that Bittner has the least amount of students, so you are less likely to meet a ton of people. It was great experience for me though. I made lifelong friendships that I may not have had if I had been somewhere else.
