Bohn Hall is pretty decent not that bad but the only thing is the bathrooms since you do share a bathroom with others so you don't know how clean they are or what they were taught back at home. Everyone is different.

So far my experience here has been pretty nice. I was a little iffy about no air conditioning and communal bathrooms but they haven't been horrible. I have a great view over looking the city of Montclair and pretty trees and our lounge has a view of the city. Our floor is kept clean and its very nice.

I loved my first freshman year at Montclair State University and staying at Bohn Hall! I lived on an all-girls floor with the perfect view of Montclair and the NYC skyline(from the study room and my dorm!). Most of the girls on my floor were really sweet and I LOVED my RA's. Pros: - The location of Bohn Hall was perfect it was easily accessible to my classes and the food halls which I really liked - Perfect views and I liked the study room - Everyone is a freshman so it feels like a community and people are willing to help each other out - Bathrooms are cleaned every day Cons: - No AC so make sure to bring a fan - Weird Con, but if you do not shut the door quietly it slams pretty loudly - Communal bathrooms ( some of the people on my floor were not the cleanest but bathrooms on the other floors were clean so it just depends on the people on your floor) - The elevators would break sometimes and walking 13 flight of stairs was not fun :)

Bohn gets a bad reputation, but it's really not such a bad place to live if you can put up with its flaws. But, if you're looking for a more cozy freshman living experience, maybe choose somewhere else. It is one of the cheapest options, but it comes at the cost of a lack of AC, elevators that are always breaking, and a lack of private bathrooms. It has community bathrooms which isn't the best if you prefer privacy or personal space, and they can get crowded during busy times like in the morning or evening. If you have friends who live there, you can definitely make the most of it. It's also got a nice view and it's in an okay spot between the dining halls and classes.
