Machuga Heights Dorm Reviews at Montclair State

Living in Machuga is the best dorm on campus! The rooms are big and each dorm has their own bathroom. I am not someone who uses the common area, but there are sometimes people there. I like that Machuga is connected to Sam's place, so it is convenient for my meals. Bring your sweatshirts though! It is a windy walk to your classrooms!

I liked it a the heights. It is most definitely some of the better dorms . Also depending on your dorm the view is beautiful.It is pretty clean and there is always someone at the front desk if you ever need help.

Machuga Heights is a great way to meet people of all college levels, the RA's and student leaders have many student involvement events for students to learn new things and meet other people. Its also located next to two campus dining halls so you wouldn't have to face harsh weather conditions. The dorms rooms are also very comfortable and spacious.

I love living in Machuga Heights. Everyone was very welcoming and it was almost spotless all the time! The safety of this building is excellent. You need you ID to get In the building and are only allowed a 2 quest per resident.

I really liked living in Machuga Heights because it's right above the dining hall so that was convenient. It was also super clean and quiet and it wasn't too far from the class buildings or where all the action was. I also really liked that the building is right across the baseball field. The only issue I had was the shower it was just super small, but I adapted fine.

The room is big and was clean when I first arrived. The staff and the maintenance are very nice and on top of any issues that you have. When I had a problem in my room it was fixed right away. I feel very safe here. I do not have any complaints so far.

My main concern with Machuga, was that it is directly off from one of the two main dinning halls on campus (Sams.) with that being said, a lot of foot traffic was often around the front, and it was VERY easy to walk right past the desk without being signed in by any of the staff. on the converse, sometimes the front desk staff were increasingly rude, having seeing me walk out from my room and into the dinning hall, giving me a hard time whenever Id forgotten my MSU ID. I did love the proximity to parking, the gym, and being attached to the dinning hall was ideal. There was always plenty of washer/drier units for use throughout the building, so that was a major plus.

Machuga Heights is a very calm building and it's helpful when it comes to having some quiet time to study. The building's common areas and hallways are usually always vacuumed and cleaned everyday early in the morning. It is also very safe considering all doors are locked at all times except for the main building door. The location of the building lies in the heart of Montclair State University where nothing is ever out of reach.

I really enjoy living in Machuga. It's connected to the dining hall which is very convenient. I live on the second in Gordon and it's very convenient. I have the laundry rooms right underneath me along with the mail boxes and vending machines. It's just a short walk from Blanton which is where I spent most of my time talking and hanging out with friends.

My experience at Machuga Heights was very good I always felt very safe and the building was always super clean. I also really loved the high ceilings Machuga Heights offered and the bathroom connected to my room.

Machuga Heights is easily the nicest a dorm buildings that Monclair State University has to offer. But for some reason they were super strict with having guests. Most colleges offer a free-for-all with allowing guest to enter the dorm. Monclair State University forest my friends and boyfriend to show their drivers license and they would scan a copy of it for their files. For me that was a little extreme. The staff was always rude and yelling at us. there was nothing fun about the dorm room it was just the biggest and nicest.

Machuga Heights was a good place to stay as a college freshman. It connects directly to Sams Place dining hall which allowed me to freely access food without the hassle of trudging across campus, especially in the cold. The rooms in Machuga have a thermostat which gave me the ability to decide how to best keep my roommate and I comfortable during every season. Lastly, the people in Machuga are lively. Living in Machuga helped me build a lot of connections as a freshman because there are so many activities and great resident life.

Machuga Heights overall is a good dorming hall. There’s no issues with any noise or and maintenance, the bathroom was in order nothing was wrong with the room overall & the room was clean no trash or any messes

very comfortable dormitory a lot people and community there even though it is up on a hill you still get the possibly one of the best living spaces on campus. The cafeteria is downstairs so if I needed to grab a quick breakfast before class it would be very easy for me.
