Houghton Hall Dorm Reviews at Moody Bible Institute

Our dorms are a little small, and sometimes noisy but that's just because of some of the people on our floor and the fact that we are right in the middle of Chicago, so there is a lot of street noise! But overall, I love the experience of being there even though it's not the nicest place in the world. I have a great roommate and I love the community we have on our floor.

I generally love living in Houghton, truly. But the showers are sometimes only cold, and in terms of temperature, I feel like the heat is on when it should be A/C, and A/C when it should be heat. But those are the only big issues for the most part. It's generally quite comfortable and I love living there.

Houghton Hall is one of my favorite places on campus. You can always find a friend in the kitchen or roaming the halls and if your ever bored, knocking on someone's door is always an option. I'm so thankful for the time I've been able to spend in Houghton and can't wait to live there one more semester.

Many of Houghton's weaknesses are probably typical for a college dorm (i.e., not much space or privacy). Rooms are fairly small and close together. It can be challenging to live there, especially as an introvert.
