Sutherland Hall Dorm Reviews at PITT

The hallways are clean. I just wish the dorms were renovated as they are old. Especially the showers. The shower heads are like fixed and barely moveable so I wish they had a hand held one. The sink in the bathroom is way too low which hurts my back. There's no much light in the room as well, it's real dim. I also want the carpets to be removed as it would make vacuuming and cleaning easier.

It was nice. I had a room with a private bathroom which was lovely. It was spacious as it was a match of the RA’s room. The walk up and down the hill was rough, but shuttle services are offered at times classes are.

Sutherland West is a pretty cool freshman dorm in my experience. It's safe and clean, but it also sits atop cardiac hill - so the trip up from classes or even just Forbes its more or less terrible. The food at the Perch isn't anything amazing, but it is in the bottom of the dorm building, so you don't have to travel for food if you don't want to. There are also two gyms within a block of the dorm, so it's great for people who want to work out.
