Goldstein Hall Dorm Reviews at Ringling

It was the best experience even though I did get home sick for a couple of months. I made new friends , I enjoyed living on my own. I learned a lot of new skills like washing clothes , keeping the room clean, bathroom was a little bit more getting used to since I was sharing with 3 other roommates but it was a great experience

The dorm is very a very homey area. Which I enjoy very much plus the dorms are in hall settings. So you can learn about everybody on the floor like a lil community. Although the bathrooms get nasty easily since there is no sort of ventilation in the bathroom. Also some of the bathrooms have mold in the shower and the shower handle for us is rusted. Multiple times have had my sink break down or get clogged up easily. The AC is really dusty and never cleaned unless you ask someone too do it.

The facilities are nice and provide plenty of space to do work outside the dorm. The mailroom is also in this building, which is very convenient. But they pack you like sardines. I lived with 3 people in a room originally meant for 1, and with all the furniture put in (desks, wardrobe, beds, and anything else you may have in there i.e. a mini fridge) there is barely any space to walk, especially if you're all home at once. You also share a bathroom with the room next door, so you are responsible for keeping your own bathroom clean, but warning, it is often difficult to get hot water during hours where classes aren't taking place. You also cannot open your windows because the humidity will damage the walls. overall a decent place to live, especially for your first year, but there are nicer/newer buildings to live in and if you're looking for privacy this is not the building for you.

I have a triple dorm with my friends. The room is spacious enough and we have a bathroom to ourselves. Overall, it's fine, though we are definitely aware that we have the older and more run-down dorm. We kept having electricity problems at the start but those are fixed now, mostly.

I like that it is located near the cafeteria and the general facility of the campus so that everything is close to each other. It is relatively safe at night. Some rooms' air conditioners don't work and there are some damages in the room but not too bad. It isn't the best place, but average.
