Queen Anne Dorm Reviews at St. Mary's

It is quiet unless you live near the stairwell (people run up and down the stairs at 1-4 am) but is a very comfortable environment. The staff are very nice and friendly, especially the janitors. Only real concern of cleanliness are the showers, I had to always clean the shower beforehand as I would see residue of past residents all over the wall and floor.

My roommate and I were unlucky enough to have the only loud people in the dorm as next door neighbors on both sides of our room. Other than them, the dorm was very quiet and peaceful. Queen Anne was the cleanest dorm but I attribute that to it being the all girls dorm and my hallway was the "show and tell" hallway for the visiting tour groups on campus. My roommate and I did have problems with roaches even though we were very conscious of food getting on the floor. It didn't make living in the dorm unbearable and they were pretty small. I loved that on my floor the ceilings were high, it made the room feel more spacious. Compared to the other freshman dorms, I think QA is the best.

Queen Anne’s is great, there is a great culture created by the RAs and the RHC. The locks on the doors keep us safe because only residents who live in this building are allowed in via one cards. The cleaning staff is made up of two wonderfully sweet women. They always go out of their way to say hello.

queen anne is a good dorm. The RAs of this dorm tend to be strict so it is hard to have friends over with out getting in trouble. however, it is close to the water and only the kitchen and basement floor did I ever see bugs in.
