Beaty Towers Dorm Reviews at University of Florida

Everything was alright when it came to maintenance. I suppose the main issue was the immense construction occurring around the area, such as Museum Road itself and the new on campus police station and new engineering building I believe. There was a water issue where we were not allowed to consume or utilize the sink or shower water for a couple of weeks (the water was completely yellow) and for my entire summer duration the AC was not working so they had to provide these mobile AC units, which was ok, but I was fine with it off and they did not tell me it was mandatory to keep on unless the paint from the walls would melt and create bubbles that would release toxins until I was about to leave.

The semester that I started living in Beaty Towers construction of the new honors dorms began. This hindered direct accessibility to my classes making my walks longer. One of the alternate routes that I had to take was walking through a dark grass field/pit. This made me feel unsafe at times as sometimes I would be returning to my dorm from the times of 3am to 5am when there was little to no one on campus.

I enjoyed it overall. On the positive side I liked the commons and the people I lived with, as well as its proximity to my classes. On the negative side it was quite cramped, I had laundry issues, and the elevator would often break.

The living space is very small. If the college didn't try to cram four people into both rooms in the suite, it would be a really great dorm. The architecture is obviously built for two, but aside from RAs, most residents end up with four people to a suite. For the price, it is a very good option for freshmen and sophomores.

Beaty Towers is a nice dorm to stay at if you like convenience and a quiet atmosphere. The rooms are relatively large (for a college dorm), and the staff are all very friendly. The rooms in the higher levels also have beautiful views of UF!

I loved beaty, they were apartment type style dorms, which allows you to have a full kitchen and share the bathroom with only 3 others. The rooms are small, and if you do not choose to bunk your bed, there will be virtually no space.

It was a good overall experience, the kitchen and bathroom in each room is pretty nice since you have more space and you do not just walk right into a bedroom. It gives more privacy and a common room that friends can hangout in together.

The building is way to small, Its possible that I'm just stuck in there too much due to covid, but there's not much natural light and its only like 300 square feet for 4 people. I would not personally recommend it, although I must admit the kitchen and bathroom are very convenient.

The Beaty Towers are in a great location on campus, within minutes of many facilities including the Broward Dining Hall, the Norman Field, as well as tennis courts, basketball courts, a skate park, volleyball courts and a hockey rink. The dorms are a little tightly packed compared to traditional style dorms but ultimately it is not a huge deal and the common area and bathroom shared between you and your three suite-mates makes up for it.

Beaty is great for living with more than one roommate! It’s not a very social dorm, but you become very close with your suitemates. The private kitchen and bathroom are the best things about this dorm.

I love living in Beaty. It's so nice to have our own bathroom, kitchen with a stove, oven, and full size fridge. I really like where Beaty is located it isn't too far from anything and I have a great view from my window. I also love having a Pod Market right outside my dorm and eat food from there way too much. I would say the only things I don't like about Beaty is that the bedrooms are a little small however, you can make more space by bunking the beds and the parking situation. Most freshman won't be able to park very close to Beaty.

Beaty Towers is a great place to live! Convenient location, close to one of the dining halls on campus, as well as the POD market below the towers. The kitchen amenity is a great asset. It feels more like an apartment than a dorm.

I like Beaty Towers a lot. It is right next door to sorority row which is super convenient and it's within walking distance of other commonly used places. I love having my own kitchen and bathroom, but I would like to see it be cleaned a little more thoroughly because the bathroom can be kinda gross. Other than that it's great.

I love living in BeatyTowers. I Love having a kitchen of our own. Rooms are small. All of the Innovation students are in Beaty which makes it nice to collaborate on work and meet others in the same program as me.

The staff was super nice and helpful. The elevators breakdown sometimes during the winter. There's random leaks but its usually rare and the bathrooms may flush nonstop but again it is rare. The students don't respect the living spaces at all always leaving the elevators disgusting.
