East Hall Dorm Reviews at University of Florida

East hall is a great hall for double rooms and a traditional style dorm. The location is very prime to the central area of campus which is amazing. East hall is also right next to the football stadium which is fun.

I lived there in the Fall of 2020, and the school evicted the whole building because they were supposedly going to turn it into a quarantine dorm, but in actuality they were repairing the freight elevator (lmao). I had a great time when I did live there and it was a very good location for my classes as a stem major. It's right next to the dining hall, close to the stadium, and really close to the Reitz. The bathrooms are weird though- one of the bathrooms on my floor was set up kind of like a strip where along one wall there were three toilets and two showers, but the shower stalls were in front of the mirror to the bathroom, so sometimes you could see in between the cracks from the shower to the mirror. It didn't bother me, but I know it really bothered my roommate in the beginning (she was very shy). In short, I see how that could be kind of weird, but it wasn't a concern for me. There's another, larger, more private bathroom too, I was just closer to that weird one so I used it more. I got along with everyone I met, and its right next to Weaver, where I met a lot of my friends! I really recommend living here. :)

East Hall was a great experience overall. The only complaint I have is the way the fellow residents acted and were allowed to keep common spaces but that is not necessarily true of all experiences of residents.

The rooms were very small, and the bathrooms are community. It is not bad for freshman housing it is a very new building. I wouldn't want to live there as an upper classroom because there isn't any personal space or kitchen. Good for the first year but that's about it.

My experience at East Hall has been very good. During this COVID-19, safety measures have been imposed to keep us all safe. The staff is very good. And via email has keep me well informed of all events. The suites are spacious, clean and quite.

My experience living at East Hall has been amazing. The staff are very professional, friendly and very helpful. Every part of this college is so clean and well kept. I have been kept well informed of any and all events happening. I have no regrets on deciding to live on campus.

I am a current resident and this is the stereotypical "dorm" you see growing up. The floors share a bathroom and you share a room with one other roommate. The rooms themselves are pretty dull, and the bathrooms are nothing to write home about, but it is in no way trashy or gross. It is cleaned every day and its a great place to meet people. Not to mention the location is near other dorms and the dining hall, as well as across the street from the football stadium.

Great RA, very well maintained, moderately spacious. freshman friendly environment (mostly all freshman dormitory). When I was housing there a roomie never showed up so we had three bunks, the other was used as a couch. Shared bathrooms was the only issue for me really, just expected other females to be more of the "clean as you go" type. Great group activities/ icebreakers. you really gain a feel of community here

I had a wonderful resident assistant in East Hall so that made it for a pleasurable experience. Unfortunately, the facility is very dated and the communal bathrooms were clean, but not as clean as you would hope for. On the days the wonderful cleaning assistant was off of work the shared areas grew very dirty. The placement of my dorm looked onto the street making all of the street noise seem like it was right next to you. Extremely overpriced for sharing a very small room and a bathroom and kitchen with 50 women.
