North Hall Dorm Reviews at University of Florida

I think the North Hall experience varies from person to person. I had a more enjoyable time because I have a roommate I like, so if you have the opportunity to contact people before move in day, please do it! One con of this residence hall is the community bathrooms, I would much rather have a private bathroom but the bathrooms stay relatively clean but sometimes you'd have to wait in a small line. I stay on the stem floor so I was able to be with people with a similar education path and that made it easier to start up conversations with strangers. Overall this is a good dorm to stay in because the pros outweigh the cons immensely.

The only bad thing I would say about North Hall is that on the weekends the bathrooms would get so dirty and smell terrible. Other than that it was a good place to live. Great location, right next to the dining hall and a bus or a 8 minute walk from the hub.

My experience at North Hall was better than I excepted. In the dorm, I meet two of my best friends and one of my now sorority sisters. However, the one thing that scared me the most was the bathroom. No matter what, when I go take a shower, there will be hair in the drain and soap, shampoo, or conditioner everywhere. In addition, when COVID protocols when into effect, I feel like the bathrooms were cleaned even less than before.

It is a quiet dorm in a great location and right next to the cafeteria and gym. However the common area is small and has few couches with no working TV so it is not as friendly as other dorms. I would recommend it to upperclassmen.

My experience at North Hall has been good. I like the location a lot, near the dining hall, football stadium, and basketball stadium, as well as only a five minute walk to the Student Union. I find the bathroom and kitchen dirty most times, but not to an extreme amount. It gets cleaned daily, but sometimes not everything gets cleaned. The people are nice. I am on the ground level, so the bathroom and common area is smaller than the other floors, which makes meeting people on the floor a little more difficult. The showers are half the size than that of the showers on the first floor, which is unfortunate. I like how quiet it is in this area and in my hall. Overall, good experience with minor annoyances.

So far it has been pretty meh. It's a nice place to live but because of covid the experience has been pretty dull. I wouldn't mind staying in this dorm next year since it is a bit more spacious than the other dormitory options. I suppose if I had to rate it so far it's been a 6/10 mainly due to covid 19.

North Hall was really quiet, and stayed clean most of the time. There were adequate tools of maintenance include vacuums, trash bags, and brooms. Common rooms, however, were mostly couches devoid of any other objects. My room was the smallest of all of them; however, my roommate kept the room tidy and neat.

North was a pretty good dorm hall since its pretty close to the center of campus and right across from the stadium. I liked being able to walk to the games as a student. It was down the road from the heart of campus so that was great

It was a new and exciting experience to be living in a dorm with strangers for the first time. The common areas were fun to hang out in, and the layout was nice/easily accessible. I made many memories living there, in my dorm, and in others as we'd have movie nights with friends and pack into one suite's living room.

The dorm is super nice and I live in a very spacious room. The bathrooms are clean, the rooms are clean, and the common areas are very nice and accommodate everyone. I feel very safe in this dorm because of the security on campus and security in the dorm.

I’m happy to be living there. I like the amenities. I feel safe and I’m close to everything. I am within walking distance of the stadium. There is enough parking around for me to find. It is always clean and quiet there, which makes studying possible for me.

The rooms are nice sized and have plenty of storage space for me and three baseball roommates. We have a small kitchen and living room and a desk and armoire for each of us. It’s a great place for a freshman away from home for the first time!

I would say it's a pretty positive experience. There are sometimes problems with people making a mess in the bathroom and being too lazy to clean it, but staff regularly comes and makes sure everything is clean. The only other problem is that this residence hall has a slightly longer walk to/from classes compared to other residence halls. Besides that, there haven't really been any problems.

walls are very thin and you can hear everything above, below, and next to you. however, the study lounges and maker space are very nice. in room air conditioning is nice and the rooms are smaller than all other dorms.

The dorms are extremely nice and clean. Having your own room and still being in a pod with a friend is very nice. The bathrooms are extremely good and nice because you have your own. I would recommend north hall to other students.

Pretty decent place to live for your first couple years on campus, The only thing that’s not so great is there isn’t really a student parking lot that’s close enough to it, I think it’s like a 20 minute walk for me
