Reid Hall Dorm Reviews at University of Florida

Reid Hall is a great dorm to stay in to have the "freshman experience" It is very close to the central part of campus and everything that you will need within quick walking distance. The communal bathroom is not clean, however the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The hall is very old and needs a lot of work. Everything in my dorm is working but I know some people with broken door locks and AC units. The staff and students here are extremely kind and happy to help with any issues or just simple questions.

Reid Hall was a great dorm to live in, all of the people on my floor were generally courteous and got along well. My dorm room was right next to the staircase, so we would hear people coming and going quite a bit but the noise wasn't that loud or disturbing. It's location near Broward Dining meant that getting food was really convenient, whether I wanted to eat in the dining hall on my way to class or just grab a to-go box to take back to my room. It was also really easy to get around campus and was located close to most of my classes.

As the first dorm in my college experience, I met a lot of great friends at Reid Hall during my freshman year. Although the bathrooms often looked terrible and there was often problems with maintenance, I believe the experiences I had with my floormates made up for it mostly. There was a strong bonds among a good portion of the floor and the traditional style of the dorm helped promote that.

I loved living there, the staff was very caring and I loved my RA. There were a lot of fun activities available to new students, which helped me meet people. The one thing about Reid is it is very outdated. I think if it got updated, it would make living there better.
