Thomas Hall Dorm Reviews at University of Florida

I really enjoyed living at Thomas, and decided to stay for two years there. It is in the historical area of campus, so the outdoor space is probably one of the prettiest on campus. It is also pretty central to everything, and mostly everything is a 10-15 minute walk from the dorm.

the building is old so the plumbing isn’t that good. the bathroom flooded and wasn’t fixed for a few days so everyone in my section had to use the other section which was a hassle. Staff doesn’t really do much cleaning as the shower often has weird gunk in it. overall thomas hall is okay. I wouldn’t choose it again

I lived at Thomas hall for 2 years. My experience consisted of meeting great people that today I call my family and easy assimilation into UF. The staff at Thomas hall was welcoming and did their best to keep it clean and presentable. Additionally, Thomas' optimal location helped familiarize myself with the hotspots on campus.

This is the third building I have lived in at UF and overall the best building. It is very small so it makes it that much more personal to get to know the other girls. My only complaints are bathroom cleanliness and noise, but that depends on the people who live on your floor. The cleaning staff is very nice and they do clean very often. I live on the kitchen floor and I am always there, it is very comfy, it has a relatively big table and all the appliances work. By far, my favorite part about Thomas is its location; you have target and public for all your shopping on the corner, various restaurants/entertainment across on that same street.

Thomas Hall is an excellent middle ground from the city of Gainesville. Although at times the air conditioning does not work as well, it is a great place to live. There are barely any health concerns regarding how clean everything is which is a huge stress reliever with being on campus during coronavirus. Not only that, but if you have a car on campus, Thomas Hall (and the Murphree area in general) is a great place to find parking and have easy access to be able to grab your car and go.

I have been quarantined in Thomas for the past week. It is a pretty good dorm. It is a suite so I think it would be best if you are planning to host parties or have a really close group of friends. There was a leak so when ever it rains it does leak into the room.
