Trusler Hall Dorm Reviews at University of Florida

I had a great time my freshman year in Trusler Hall. Although the dorm itself is not too pretty and a little far from the center of campus, it is very conveniently located right next to one of the schools dining halls, as well as a small market where you can buy all kinds of things that is open all the way through to 3am for any late night study session munchies that you may get. There's also a swimming pool right behind the dorm that is great for when the temperature is just too hot outside and you need to cool down. Lastly, the people whom I lived in the dorm building with were such nice and open people who loved to talk and get together to hang out and make the dorm experience enjoyable.

The rooms were very, very small, and its obvious that the building is old--paint is cracked and things break periodically. It isn't the closest to the center of campus, but isn't the farthest, either--its about a 15 minute walk to the closest cafeteria hall and most class buildings. There is a convenience and food store at the bottom of the building, though. 6 toilets and 4 showers are shared between ~52 residents. Maintenance tries their best to keep up, but they aren't there on weekends--by monday the place is a mess.
