Sherman Barracks Dorm Reviews at West Point

At Sherman Barracks I have seen a substantial amount of mold in the showers, in the summers it is hot and in the winter it is cold due to lackluster cooling and heating. The building is extremely old and it is difficult to plan events in common areas due to poor maintenance.

During my time at the military academy my favorite barracks to live in was Sherman. It was right next to most of my classes which were in Mayan Hall so that shortened my commute during the day. It was also close to the cadet store so I could stock up on supplies and treats as needed and grant hall right down the causeway made post class snacking and weekend access to meals much easier, especially on cold days.

Foremost, Sherman Barracks is the oldest dorm at my college. There have been no renovations and it has multiple problems. I have seen roaches while using the bathroom, sometimes the electricity does not work, it smells bad and it looks outdated.
