Thigpen Hall Dorm Reviews at AAMU

My experience was honestly great. You meet a lot of other girls who have similar interest as you. With it being an all girl, traditional style dorm, it’s definitely more comfortable and easy to bond with people.

The females who lived here did not grow up the same way I did. A lot of females did not have good hygiene therefore the bathrooms were disgusting before the cleaning staff came and cleaned them. The showers were cold and hardly got hot the whole year I lived here. Although a lot of problems were with the bathrooms and the staff the females were for the most part friendly and I was able to have a wonderful roommate. By the end of the year, I had made a few friends, seen a few fights, and had a lot of laughs.

It was very clean at first but as time went by it did not stay like that. Sometimes we had to take showers which was not pleasing but other than that it was a good experience for my first year on the campus. Compared to other dorms I was very blessed due to it be renovated.

The first day of finding my hall was a little stressful. It has recently been remodeled and is very clean. I would totally recommend if looking for something up to date. The noise level on the third floor is great, almost always quiet at night.
