The Commodore Dorm Reviews at AAU

Since it was a freshman dorm, it was noisy and the common areas were not kept clean by the students. The cleaning staff were thurough in their work and never missed a scheduled day. The location was convient in terms of bus stops and dining halls.

The Commodore is a great first place to stay when coming up to SF for AAU. It has a pretty decent location that allows you to get anywhere in the city pretty quickly and easily. The amenities are pretty minimal especially with Covid precautions and certain maintenance issues are completely overlooked.

I stayed at the Commodore my freshman year and the facility was great and I had a really cool resident advisor who was very helpful. I met and made some good friends in the common room that year. The study room is a little small with only a few desks, hopefully they expand it.

Overall good experience, really nice place to live in the city especially as a freshman for college. The staff was good but not great. They were very good with keeping everything in order and making sure everyone is safe.

As an incoming freshman, this was the most common dorm to be assigned to. The building is close to an unsafe part of San Francisco known as the "tenderloin" with a high crime rate. And since were in the city its barely quiet.
