Sevier Hall Dorm Reviews at Austin Peay

It was very different from home but it gave me the understanding as if I were on my own. Being there also made me realize that anyone can be a sevier liver cause it’s all about maintaining your room and self.

This is an all girls dorm. The RAs were friendly. The noise level was never out of hand. I'd say average during the day and quiet during the night. Location was close to classes, in the middle of campus.

Sevier Hall is a special place to live, and is cozy and comfortable. It's in a very convenient place on campus and is optimal for anyone who has classes spread across campus, because it's in the middle of everything.

Living in sevier hall is quite an adventure. The Ra's always host events for people to join whether in person or through zoom. The quiet hours are 10pm-8am, but alot of people do not listen to this rule and it does cause issues between residents. The RA's do reply fast to this though and always want you to feel comfortable. If you're having issues dormwise maintenance usually is very good about helping fix any issues. Sometimes they will not and never answer your request so it depends on who gets it. The rooms themselves right off the bat look smaller than shown in photos. They are nicely set up but no one fixes any damage left before hand. The bathrooms in most rooms are very damaged and you'll be lucky to get a clean one when moving in. I reccomend cleaning them before use and reporting any damage ahead of time. It is located near the music building which is perfect for me and it is close to alot of other buildings with classes too. The best about this dorm is it right by the food areas you can choose to eat at and its within walking distance of alot of them. I also enjoy it is the cheapest dorm to live in and saves you money but does have obvious flaws.

It's the hall closest to the campus, and that has it's pros and cons. The cons are that it can get loud if there's events going on. The hall didn't look very welcoming until you really settle in. Compared to the locations of the other dorms, it makes walking short and easy. Compared to the looks of the other dorms, it looks cheap. It was still a good dorm, and it served it's purpose. I enjoyed it when I stayed there.
