I felt like the community was great, but the dorm definitely was dated. When someone would flush the toilet, the showers would spray hot water. Many girls were burnt. Also, the dorm had many bug infestations.

It was located on one of the corners of the campus, so sometimes I would walk 20+ minutes to reach the other side of campus. Dorming and meal plans were expensive, so I went online the second semester because freshman year requires to the dorm. It wasn't the best hall to live in either and it was messy.

I sort of just got stuck in Kokernot, as it was the only option for a dorm left. Although, like e most people, I had never heard of Kokernot when I came to Baylor, I've learned to love it. I could not ask for better people on my hall or a better CL, as they are all the sweetest girls I've met. Yes, it is a lot smaller than the other dorms, but I think that is what makes it great. It is located near the middle of campus so everything is about a 15 minute walk, which is great. The staff is super friendly, and will help you with anything you need. One of the only downsides is being located right near the highway. This means when trying to sleep at night you can sometimes hear the construction and really loud cars. Again that is probably the only downside.

Kokernot should be your last choice of dorms. If you can get anywhere else, do it. Kokernot is small and in the very back corner of campus by brooks. With that said if you do end up her it isn't the end of the world. You still meet so many new people going through the same thing you are. I met my best friends here and I wouldn't change that for the world. You get used to the size AND the community bathrooms. Fare warning though, there are no sinks in the dorm rooms.

Before attending college, I never even heard of Kokernot Hall, and when applying to dorms and not getting into the dorm I wanted (Penland), I was placed into Kokernot Hall. To this day I call the dorm "Collins's Leftovers" because it is where the girls that didn't get admitted to the other dorms go. I have grew to accept and appreciate where I live however. The leaders have been nothing but accommodating and they try their best to make the dorm feel like home. For that, I'm grateful. I also liked how small the community was, it created a peaceful environment that would never really get too crazy. The struggle is the distance it is from everything else on campus. Having to wake up earlier to have to walk a longer distance to class was difficult. Overall, the experience was satisfactory for a first year, and I will forever remember Kokernot as part of my first year experience.

Kokernot has been a solid freshman dorm experience, but certainly not a luxurious option. It is the only dorm on campus without sinks in the rooms, but the extra trip to the bathroom is not too far or inconvenient. I regularly see the bathrooms being cleaned, however there tends to be an ant problem in the sinks. If you are looking for a spacious place to live, I would not recommend Kokernot. However, it is a perfectly fine place to be if you end up here and a good walking distance to three big dining halls. I have met very welcoming people in my hallway and love the sense of community here!

I lived at Kokernot my freshman year of college. My experience was good, but there were a few things that I didn't like. For example, the bathrooms were a little out dated and in need of an upgrade. The other thing is that the vents on the fronts of every door allow for sound to carry. I could hear what my neighbors were saying and they could hear what I was saying in my room. The last thing I didn't like was that Kokernot was very secluded from campus. I would often have to leave extra early to get to my classes on time. As for the good things, Kokernot has its own classroom where you can study as well as a basement where you can hang out. They also have study rooms on each lobby floor, that prove useful for studying.

My experience at Kokernot so far has been pretty good. The staff and CL's are pretty great and the management always seems to have resources and events for the residents. The dorm is just very small, which is honestly nice because you get a more personal relationship with the people. The location is not ideal however. It is right on the corner of campus and right next to I-35. There is a lot of construction and traffic in Waco, so you can hear everything all night. In relation to the building locations on campus, its relatively close to some major spots like the SUB and Moody which is pretty nice. However I wish it was closer to the larger schooling buildings on campus such as Foster, BSB, and Waco Hall. The dorm is kept relatively clean for the most part, but the communal bathrooms can get a bit gross. And there have been bug issues in the past.

I lived at Kokernot last year and it was an older building. I didn’t have any problems with mold or anything like that but we did have rats in the walls at one point. However, it’s better than Collins, the largest community style all girls dorm on campus.

Kokernot Hall has provided me with valuable life experiences as I navigate living with a roommate and sharing space with other people. Although there are some flaws and our living conditions are not extravagant, kokernot offers safety and community that cannot be found in other dorms.

I loved living in Koko! Everyone was so friendly and it made my freshman year awesome. From the activities to the girls living there it was a fantastic experience. I would recommend kokernot to all of my friends interested in going to Baylor.

Kokernot hall is a very welcoming, tight-knit community. The hall director and CLs are super helpful and sweet. The environment of the hall is nice. The hall is never too rowdy, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun. The cleanliness is above what's necessary. The common areas and study rooms are nice and cozy. The bathrooms are communal so that's why I put it as 4.5 stars because that was on me, not the school. It's just a preference. I still chose kokernot despite the communal bathroom situation. The location of kokernot is a bit far out. It's not too bad, though. It's just next to the brooks dining hall and residence halls. It's conveniently close to the SUB, but extremely far away from the SLC and BSB. The location depends on your class schedule. I'm not as effected by the location as a pre-med major would be if they had many classes in the farther buildings. Also, if you had an 8am everyday at a building far away it may not be the best choice for you, but, nonetheless, kokernot is an amazing hall that would make it worth it.

Kokernot is a great place to stay especially because of the good location. The only thing it lacks is it has very small dorms and community bathrooms. The WiFi also is a huge issue with online classes. Other than that everyone is following all rules and are super nice.
