North Russell Hall Dorm Reviews at Baylor

The dorm is pretty clean. The RA’s are very helpful. We have large laundry rooms, multiple study areas as well as a dorm kitchen. The location of the dorm is conveniently located on the north side of campus which gives easy access to restaurants.

Its a pretty nice dorm. It's not perfect by any means, but it does not fail at anything either. I guess I would describe it as the most basic of all the halls at Baylor, having been to some of the others, as it is small in size, and offers few amenities. However, it was nice while I was there, and I did not feel like I hated being there at any point in my freshman year. Since it is not a subject specific dorm, I would definitely recommend it to someone looking for a dorm, as you generally get a nice mix of people who go there.

It was nice to meet new people from different walks of life than myself and it is definitely great for those who are wanting to immerse themselves into different cultures and ideals. It was definitely quieter than I expected but I met some amazing people who made the experience much more enjoyable.

North Russell is really great overall, with a wonderful CL and program staff. It's a bit on the far edge of campus, but even that only entails a 15 minute walk anywhere at most. Right next to the Penland dining hall for better or worse, but it's certainly convenient to get food.

It is a nice dorm to live in, there are a lot of dorm activities to participate in even with COVID and it is a respectful dorm overall. It is underrated and is honestly very nice , it is one I would recommend.

I loved living in North Russell Hall ! The community was incredibly rich and the community was super unexpected! I loved my experience, mainly because of how inviting the culture of the environment was. Everyone was genuinely so kind and caring and wanted to know about my experience as a black woman. My roommate was from Beijing, China and we had so much learning about each other's heritage and culture and enjoying new foods that we cooked each other!

Staff has always been helpful and events are hosted weekly that brightens up my day. The dorm is always kept fairly clean, the bathrooms are cleaned daily which makes for a clean environment. I love this dorm, it is my favorite one that I have lived in.

My experience at North Russell Hall has been astounding. As a minority in America I often have a hard time finding acceptance in a community, however in North Russell the staff are kind, and the people are diverse. It truly feels like home.

the people are very nice but, naturally, the bathrooms tend to get dirty quickly. the cleaning ladies work very hard everyday. i like the ping pong table in the common area. there’s a big community kitchen but there’s no toaster which is somewhat inconvenient.

North Russell is home to students invested in service and global impact, as well as many international students. It made for an exciting, fun, and welcoming environment. The spaces were nearly always clean and the staff (including RAs) were always friendly and helpful!

I loved everything about North Russell. I was so sad when Corona shortened my times in the dorms. This is the place that brought me 95% of my friends in college it was like home away from home. It was fun running from one friends room to the next and feeling like I lived in a safe and trustworthy community that pushed me in my relationship with God.
