Texana House Dorm Reviews at Baylor

I enjoyed my dorm experience at Texana House because of the close-knit community formed with roommates and neighbors. However, whether it's the right fit depends on your preferences. Since it's more apartment-style/suite-style rather than communal, there will be fewer opportunities to meet people simply because most people take advantage of the personal space. Also, it's located at the quieter end of campus, which might be what you're looking for if want a balance. Overall, Texana House offers a balance between community and privacy, and its location can be great for those who prefer a quieter environment.

I was in a six resident dorm, with three bathrooms and four rooms. The roommate matching process could have been a little better, considering I did not really get to know any of them. But overall, for a late application, they were very accommodating and the space was nice.

Overall, Texana House is a great dorm for students needing a quiet dorm environment. It's location on the edge of campus also helps as it is away from all the noise and distractions from the campus hub. Only complaint is how slow maintenance can be.

It has been great! I have a lot of siblings back home so I can expected at least some noise but everyone is so polite and stays quiet most hours of the day. They staff are welcoming and maintain the cleanliness of the dormitory at all times.

I have had a really good experience living at Texana in a suite style with five other girls. The few times that we had maintenance issues, our problems were resolved extremely quickly. It is also very convenient having the parking garage so close to our building.

The upkeep is very nice and the common area are beautiful for studying, hanging with friends, and/or socializing. The bathrooms are a bit dated, but nice otherwise. My only wish for the kitchen is a dishwasher!

Texana House was a good choice for me because I meet new people every day because of how big the building is. It is a short walk to the science building using the bridge. I am apart of their leadership team so I get to plan events for the house and people show up and it's nice to meet new people at events we create.

Texana House is a fantastic dorm for the women of Baylor. Not only is it always well-kept and clean, but the staff who work there are always friendly and willing to help. The only issue I would find is that it is on the edge of campus- away from the main hub "Fountain Mall".
