Residence Halls Unit 1 Dorm Reviews at UC Berkeley

In the Christian Hall in Unit 1 I live on the Afro Floor. Attending the seminars is fun and being around multiple other halls is great because one can step outside and reach many friends from a nearby hall. Unit 1 is a lively and nice place to be. The Unit is not far from campus and restaurants. I recommend living in Unit 1 to many.

Unit 1 is about a 5 minuite walk to campus, so it is very convenient and super close to campus, which is great for an incoming freshman. It can be social which is great to meet new friends and the RA's host different events throughout the year to also get to meet new people.

It was a new experience but overall it was really good. There was plenty of space. It was cleaner than I hoped. The staff was amazing. The area is right next to campus as well. It's a perfect spot to make friends too.

The unit one residence halls were overall a great experience, the dorms were very well maintained. There was a very sweet older woman who cleaned the bathrooms and dorm halls every morning. The RA I had my freshman year on floor seven was wonderful and she was very helpful. The common areas were closed most of the time because of the corona virus, but other than that, they were well kept and spacious. My one complaint is the size of the rooms were not suitable for 2 -3 people.

I loved living in Unit 1. It was a fantastic start to my college experience because it was so close to campus with a lot of great restaurants in the area. It was super easy to get to know other freshmen this way as well.

As a first year student, it was a great experience as someone who spent time on Greek row and copious amount of time on campus. It was also close to the dining hall and exercise facilities. The room is a bit cramped living with 2 other people, but there are open common rooms and areas to socialize within the building and entire unit structure.

I have enjoyed living in Unit 1, more specifically Christian Hall because of my peers but also the resourceful R.A. I would definitely consider living there again if I'm offered a housing offer again.

It was a very enjoyable experience. Although I was far from home, I would look forward every day to come home to my dorm and my dormmates. The dorms were always clean, maintenance was always up to date, and the dorm food was very delicious.

I lived in this dorm during my freshman year of college and I was glad that it wasn't that far away from campus and that everything, including food places, was very close and easy to access. The dorms were also cleaned every day which made it feel more like home.
