C. Chipman Hall Dorm Reviews at BYU

Overall my experience at Chipman Hall was enjoyable. It is very old and could use some updating but has been maintained fairly well over the years. The staff was fairly helpful and maintaied a decently clean environment. I did not enjoy being in the common area due to the excess of PDA from couples that would linger there.

Chipman Hall has been a good living space for the time being. During the pandemic, living here has been a bit difficult. There are no social events going on and everyone is closed in their rooms. While that isn't a problem with the building itself, it has made living here less enjoyable. The overall cleanliness is pretty good. The bathrooms definitely could be better though, especially the shower areas. The curtains are yellow and dirty, and all the showers have something wrong with them. Some have drains that don't work, and others have handles that don't control the temperature of the water. The lobby spaces are mediocre but the furniture is a bit dingy.
