Stover Hall Dorm Reviews at BYU

Stover Hall is a great place to meet fun and lifelong friends! It is a very welcoming atmosphere with endless social opportunities. Be warned, though, it is rarely quiet. The RAs are kind and the vending machines are where it’s at!

I had a lot of fun with friends and it was a great experience. Food at the cafeteria was great. You can also buy your own food from the money you get by staying at Stover. The courtyard was always super fun too. I was on the first floor and by the basketball court so during fall and spring it was a little loud at times as I was by the window. Other than that it was ok. I didn't like how the carpet and walls looked old. But the cabinets were nice. You will want to get a mattress pad for you mattress. Also invest in a full length mirror that hold jewelry. That is nice. Get a bucket for you shoes.

The social aspect is the best part. It is very easy to get to know your neighbors because you all share the same hallway and eat at the same food court. There is also privacy. You live in a shared room with your own closet, desk, chair, and shelving. Lots of storage space under the tall beds. You also have a mini fridge and a small vanity area with a sink and mirror in the bedroom. Shared bathroom with 3 stalls and 6 shower heads. Easy less than 10-minute walk to campus. Perfect freshman experience!

All the staff are friendly and know how to do their job. The rooms are big enough but the closet space is very limited. Some of the common room couches are missing cushions but besides that are in good condition. Everything is cleaned regularly and is nice.
