Living in the Colony makes it feel like I am living in a condo. It is not your typical college dorm. The community aspect of it is just incredible. I have met so many people in the common areas and made life-long friends here.

I enjoyed living in the colony. My RA was super helpful and always made us feel connected and included! There were many events and things to help create community. Living here is a mix of apartment life and independence while still in the safety of the school.

Overall good experience, but it all depends on what kind of living experience you're looking for. Colony is mainly for groups of 3-4 sophomores-seniors. It's great if you want to be farther from the main campus buildings but still be on campus or nearer to the Health Science campus! If you prefer to be close to classrooms, Colony is not for you. It has a living room, kitchen, one bathroom and 1-2 bedrooms and some grassy areas outside depending on which part of Colony you're in. I would say the best things about Colony are the RA-led events and the spacious areas outside. The layout is a comfortable size, but other upperclassmen housing areas also have similar layouts. The things I didn't like about living there are the low-pressure toilet (didn't flush well), the thick paint on cabinets/doors that made them a little difficult to open, and the thin windows (you can sometimes hear talking outside). All of these things depend on which room/section you get, though. I would recommend checking it out and seeing if you like the apartment size and location!

The colony is one of the forming areas that is for upper class. The colony has a basketball court, pool and lounge to hang out with friends. It gives you the environment in living in a apartment setting than a usual dorm. I really enjoyed living there because it was not off campus and it was not far from my classes. Overall, I would recommend people to stay in colony!

The RAs are all super nice, and the bedrooms are super spacious. Furniture Is all super clean and well-maintained. The maintenance staff for Colony has been nothing short of great and perfect. I highly recommend living in Colony at CBU your sophomore year!

Living in the colony is a really good experience. All they are is a friendly, accessible, and helpful. It is secluded from classrooms which makes you feel like you arenβt living on campus. My only complaint is that the buildings are fairly old. Because of their age, they arenβt insulated very well for sound meaning the upstairs neighbors can make a lot of noise and bother you.

The Colony was a good place to start my college experience at. The student's were all either freshman or sophomores so many of us got to share in experiencing life on campus. Student housing was friendly, there were places to eat and shop that were both in driving and walking distance. the dorms themselves were the right size for someone away from home the first time and staff were friendly and informative. All in all I would recommend living there to people know.

Pretty good, California Baptist University does well on their rankings for campus, food, and housing. I still believe that CBU has some of the best dorms in California. Some things could be improved, but what college dorms are perfect?
