Cerro Vista Dorm Reviews at Cal Poly

Cerro Vista is situated overlooking the Cal Poly campus. Out my front window I get a beautiful view of the campus and surrounding hills. Out my bedroom window I get a close up view of a hill which is lively with deer or turkey. Although the walk up the hill after class can be difficult, I appreciate that it provides a little the separation between school and home life.

Cerro Vista is a nice and quaint complex. Despite being all by itself on top of a hill it has a very pretty surrounding. The staff in the office is very nice and kind and they often offer some kind of snacks to the residents there. They also provide on the lawn movie nights with popcorn and ice cream that is really enjoyable.

Living in Cerro Vista was a great experience. The cleaning staff came weekly, and although it was a bit of a walk to campus, it felt like a good balance of autonomy and resources. I lived in Hollister on the second floor, with five other roommates. Sometimes it felt crowded, so it was nice to have the communal living spaces like the living room, kitchen, and study.
