Peregrine Hall Dorm Reviews at Purdue Calumet

The dorms are not bad. There are a lot of small things that go wrong but overall, nothing major. I do wish they were more proactive in catching people who drink and/or smoke in the dorms which is prohibited. My previous roommate would smoke in the dorms, use are side of the bathroom, and plug our toilet. Even though we complained, they said they had to catch him doing it in order to do anything. We would complain as soon as we noticed and they could never "catch" him doing anything. So, we had to tolerate a roommate that we didn't choose to begin with. He was placed in the room because they actually had a waiting list for dorm rooms.

I have lived in peregrine for my first and second years at college. Before the pandemic, peregrine had such a great, fun, social environment. There were many fun events for housing residents planned by the RA's. We even had a food pantry were food was donated by students and distributed to other students in housing for free.
