Darley Towers Dorm Reviews at CU Boulder

Darley was a place that was truly defined by the people. The building was dated and creaky but I made some of my best friends in the dorm. People who lived in Darley have a sort of solidarity with one another since we bonded over living in the dorm that was commonly referred to as the worst dorm on campus.

It wasn't the best dorm, especially of the other dorms in the area. We had a bug infestation that was never dealt with. I also struggled with the maintenance people on more than one occasion. The front desk people and the RA's were very nice and helpful though.

I moved from FL to CO without knowing a single soul. My parents were certain the dorm life would provide my life long friends. Upon meeting my roommate I was certain my parents were delusional. My roomie wasn't awful but we definitely didn't click on any level...school, social, background, interests. I guess that wasn't a totally bad thing it forced me out of my room and out to meet other folks. I've met a lot of great people from various backgrounds. What a humbling experience to go from my own bathroom at my parents house to sharing with a 4-6 guys. Here we are at the end of the 1st semester and i have indeed meet a group of folks I can see at my wedding....in 20 years.

Darley north was a lot better than people made it seemed. Willvill was nice because it allowed me to get a break from campus. I also enjoyed the dining hall nearby. My room had a sink and a walk in closet. It was also larger than other dorms around CU which helped me. Floors are small, making it easier to bond with your neighbors and feel safe leaving the door open. Bathrooms were awkwardly shaped but usually free when I needed them.
