Kittredge West Hall Dorm Reviews at CU Boulder

This dorm was by far one of the best on campus. As it is a newer dorm the rooms are bigger and have air conditioning. The dining hall is extremely close and markets are even closer. Classes can be a little far depending on where they are located on campus but it really isn't bad.

I don't have very good memories at Kittredge West Hall, but I believe it is because I was in a unique situation my first year. All of the courses were online, no guests were allowed because of COVID-19 (which makes sense), and everyone is stuck in a room 24 hours a day. I did not particularly enjoy spending that much time with my roommate in this dorm, but the hall itself was good.

Lot of great people you can meet in the halls. We love to stay together and get with each other to talk or play outside. Great experience. The staff are very helpful with anything. The only problem is when they clean the bathrooms, you might need it or anything but can't.

Kittredge West is on the southern edge of campus, right across the street from the main dining hall. It is a 12 minute walk from the furthest classrooms, and about 7-8 minutes away from most classes. The separation is nice as it makes it quiet and gives the feeling of a dorm that is separate from campus, but it is right next to campus. Kittredge West is home to the Health Professionals Residential Academic Program, which means students interested in health-related fields can take small, less full classes from the comfort of the dorm. It also means most of the students there are academically focused, and would be more on the work hard side than the play hard side. This makes the dorm ideal for any student who prefers a quieter living environment, regardless of whether or not they are going into the health field. I was a computer science student, and had no problem fitting in there.
