Clearview Hall Dorm Reviews at CSU

Clearview is perfect for first year students who want to indulge in fun and exciting college experiences. It houses 4 students, 2 in each room, 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms in each dorm. The dormitories are co-ed and house game rooms and study rooms on each floor. Clearview Hall is located in the center of this grand campus. The campus itself, has a 5 story parking deck, a recreational building, a library, and a few cafe's. It has busses that take you to and from the downtown area of Columbus.

Great experience. Love the faculty and how close to campus it is. Students are respectful and during exam week, it’s very quiet. My roommates get along and the dorm monitor is always available to problem solved.

My experience at Clearview Hall is amazing. I got to experience what college is like. The staff here are very nice. The food here is tasty. Although sometimes it can be really loud at night when I'm trying to sleep. But overall it feels great to live on your own.

I did not particularly enjoy Clearview. It was kind of boring. I did not enjoy the noise as staff would not step in to control loud noises if it was before quiet hours which did not start until around midnight. I had very loud neighbors who screamed constantly but they wouldn’t do anything about it. Common areas were boring. I liked the laundry rooms but there was a big problem of people leaving their clothes in the washers and dryers for hours at a time which prevented other residents from using the machines.

Clearview Hall is where CSU freshman reside and I would say that my overall experience was average. The RAs did their best to have interesting events, but other than that there's nothing special about the dorms. The dorms in Clearview are suite style; there are two rooms and two bathrooms in one dorm. The rooms within the suite are meant for two people, so a total of 4 people in one dorm. There are two small closets, two desks, two chairs, two cabinets, and two large cabinet drawers (one for each person residing in the room). Each room in the suite has their own bathroom so two people will share one bathroom. The dorms are fairly quite during exam week, respectfully so, but on a normal week it can get loud as the week nears the end. Clearview is really close to where the Science, Math and Business classes are held. However, on average, one's walking at least 6 to 7 minutes to get to there classes and to the cafeteria. On an important note, Clearview is on the main campus. If you're a Fine Arts major, or even a Nursing major, it's better to get a dorm in the Riverside (downtown area) because that's where those classes are located. There is a shuttle that will take students from Main Campus to Downtown but just keep in mind where a majority of your classes are being held because the shuttles are not always reliable.

My experience was very good during my first semester. The location was not far from any of my classes and the noise levels were good most of the time. The only time noise was a problem was every once and a while very late at night.

All freshmen start out in this dorm, it's a great way to get an overview of the campus. It can be a little noisy however, all resources needed such as bathrooms, laundry areas, and a community kitchen are provided in arms reach.

Everything is good except sometimes it gets loud at night. After 12:00 it is supposed to get quiet but there is still usually a good bit of noise. The common areas are kept very clean and the RA’s are very nice

I really like living here. It’s my first year. If not for COVID 19, I think every thing would be excellent. It’s hard meeting people and I don’t have people coming in and out of my room. One good thing is that my mom can’t come into my dorm room!
