30 East Dorm Reviews at Columbia

My experience there was great. It was small living quarters and pretty thin walls but beautiful views and updated appliances. Everything is really clean since its new and a lot of companies partner with 30 East residency to provide snacks or special events in the lobby.

So far my experience at 30 East has been great. Each apartment has a bathroom, kitchen, and living room which makes dorm living much easier and enjoyable. I like the mail system too, there are lockers outside of a mailbox for bigger packages, that only you can open, ensuring nobody will take your packages.

Because of the pandemic, I did not have a roommate which left the double apartment all to myself. Everything I needed was within walking distance and I never had trouble in the building itself. The staff were pretty nice and helpful whenever I had a question.

It's very nice, I can't comment on everything since COVID limits interactions between residents and has closed off the community areas. However, the staff are nice, and the dorm has its own kitchen. My only complaint is the dorm bedrooms and desks are small.

Honestly the best dorm. Best location for my major, and best amenities. Full kitchen, great security and office staff. Small and expensive but nice. Free laundry. Some units are oddly shaped. Overall its been great but I still want to live in my own apartment because of the lack of space and the restrictions.
