Olin Hall Dorm Reviews at Cornell

It is very loud and very chaotic. You can hear everything happening in the stairwell! Especially at 3 am on a Saturday! There is constant vomit and feces on the bathroom floors. People like to make pranks and rip off the fire extinguisher and spray the hall floors. It’s very awful.

It is very clean in Olin and very well taken care of. The only thing I don't like is how far I have to walk to get to the cafeteria and other parts of the campus. Otherwise, everything else is amazing and it's very good.

It tended to always smell of various alcohol, vomit, and weed. It just did not feel like a safe dorm with people running through the hallways all night and on scooters. The overall building was filled with wrestlers, baseball players, and basketball players where the sport is their only personality trait.

Olin is close to the sports center which is nice since I play volleyball. It is in a great location and there are a bunch of trees all around the building. The study rooms are sound proof so when you need to focus there is no one to bug you. The rooms are big and have plenty of room.
