Adams Hall Dorm Reviews at Dickinson

The basement rooms and arrangement is much different from the rest of the building and therefore creates a very different experience. While living there, school staff forgot to turn on the heat to the basement during the winter while multiple snowstorms took place. there were also frequent problems with the plumbing causing the temporary movement of students into other dorms with short notice and shutdown of bathroom usage for entire days while students were still expected to inhabit the dorm. Adams is a big building so there are a lot of social opportunities but the facility itself can be problematic especially with the amount of money paid in room and board. All that being said Adams is still one of the best freshman dorms on campus which maybe speaks more to the quality of living establishments on campus in general.

I loved living in Adams Hall. It was such a large part of my first year experience. The location was ideal and the atmosphere was welcoming with comfortable common spaces and cleanly bathrooms. It is a place that I now use as a standard for all dorms moving forward.
