Mingus Mountain Dorm Reviews at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Prescott

I didn't have a roommate for the first semester I lived there so it was quite nice. The building itself was a bit old, but the rooms were still in good conditions. We were given beds, desks, and dressers to put our clothes in.

The floors are thin so you can hear people walking around under/ above you if they are heavy walkers. Great location on campus is close to the library, dining hall, and classes. Easy walking distance but all doors have access to outside.

Overall, Mingus Hall isn't that bad of a place to stay on campus. It is close to the roadways entering/exiting the campus, making it easy t come and go, and isn't too far of a walk from everything else on campus. It can be noisy if your roommates are loud or people are running/yelling outside the dorm rooms but you normally don't hear much from the suites around you. There was an issue with WiFi connections previously but they are trying to fix it. The fire alarms can be pretty touchy as well, so you will have to be cautious if you cook in the lounge. Each suite has a max of 6 people, 2 people per room, and a lounge for all 6 to use, all with AC/heating. Rooms have lofted beds with a desk underneath, and dressers for each student. The kitchen/lounge has seating, storage a 3/4 fridge, a sink, and two stovetop burners. Extra storage can be found between rooms. There are two bathrooms, both have showers, toilets, storage and one has a double vanity while the other has a single sink.

My experience living at Mingus Mountian so far has been very good. The dorms are fairly nice for being one of the older dorms on campus. You get a common room which includes a kitchen, along with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The hall is fairly quiet during the night as there is quiet hours set during sleeping times. RAs in Mingus are great and put on activities for the floors.
