Glades Park Tower Dorm Reviews at FAU

The doors slam easily, bathroom could use more work. The common areas need attend and they smell bad. The laundry situation needs to change, there is not enough machines at times. Parking is a nightmare at night. They need more parking spots.

Very clean and comfortable building with great staff! The only problem I would say is the fact that it is very far away from any of the classes and especially the breezeway. It is a hassle if you were to forget your ID card but it is nice knowing that it is very hard for someone unwanted to get into the building!

I am moving to Glades Park Towers next week but I have plenty of friends who lived in GPT last semester and are very satisfied with the dorm From the pictures, I personally love it and look forward to moving for the spring.

The location is close to classes and much better than the bigger dorms location. However it is not as nice as the bigger dorm. Common areas are small and lackluster and security is not reliable. Sometimes they are annoying and other times they let anyone walk in. Be careful who you trust as there are good and bad people living here. A lot of drug dealers.

GPT definitely wasn’t the nicest or newly innovated dorm hall on campus compared to Parliament, but what it lacked in shiny new features it was superior in location. Parliament while way nicer than the other dorm halls was way too far away from anything else on campus adding an extra 5-10 walk to anywhere you would be going on campus. In comparison GPT is right in the middle of all of the action. The biggest downfall for GPT and well all of the dorm halls is parking. FAU doesn’t have near enough parking for the on campus residence and FAU being a commuter school it makes parking impossible.

It was a fun experience definitely worth it for first year students looking for a cheaper option. The staff are very friendly and helpful to Freshman if you ask questions they will have the answers or will know someone who will.

I really enjoyed my freshman year there (2019), as it is honestly much nicer and modern than other dorms I have seen at other schools. I felt safe always and was overall very content. All I would recommend is remodeling the bathrooms.
