North Hall Dorm Reviews at Ferris State

I only lived at north hall for the summer but I lived at ECS for a few years. The summer was wonderful and the experience/location/set up is great for a dorm. I wish they were all like north hall. I really liked the activities and how close the dorm is to the quad for food.

My North Hall experience was very pleasant, I was planning on living in Cramer Hall due to cost, but I am very glad I chose North. North felt like I was living in a very nice hotel, there wasn't any brick or block to make it feel like a prison and it was built modernly. The overall safety of the building was very nice, using your keycard at every entrance and in the stairwells to prevent unwanted people from getting into the building. One of the benefits of North hall, was the full kitchen that was in main floor lobby, so if you wanted to yourself a good dinner, you had the possibility. North also had pool tables, Ping-pong, and foosball! North is also in the center of campus, super close to the library (FLITE), the quad (dining center), and reasonable walks to many other buildings.

North Hall is the perfect home away from home. The staff is very outgoing and helpful. The rooms are very modern and quiet which helps to get work done. When I do not want to be in my dorm I have numerous choices of study rooms and quiet places.

I stayed in North Hall my freshman year of college and it was great! It was brand new at the time so it was very updated an modern looking. Even though there are two people to a room, it still seemed spacious. The bathrooms are big as well which helped a lot with four girls in there each morning. Overall, I had a great experience here and I would recommend it to anyone.

The building and location was fantastic! The walls are quite thin so I could hear conversations happening in the room next to me. I lived on the second floor and could often hear the people above me jumping out of their bed and walking around. I had a bad roommate which gave me a bad experience.
