Tamiami Hall Dorm Reviews at FIU

Living in Tamiami dorms provided a unique opportunity for personal growth. Everyone is friendly and caring, they are always greeting you and letting you know to have a great day if you cross paths. One of the most cherished aspects of my dorm experience was the friendships I cultivated. The bonds formed within those walls transcended the semesters, creating lifelong connections. We celebrated each other's successes and supported one another through challenges, creating a tight-knit family right there in Tamiami.

Tamiami Hall is a new dorm at FIU. From the outside, the building is gorgeous. However, there is no parking nearby, the rooms are tiny, not enough storage in the common area for pots and pans, and the washing machines are always broken. However, the workers always make sure the building is clean.

The building is fairly new and very modern. The architecture is brutalist on the outside. The inside however, is very lively. My dorm was clean and had all necessary amenities. The plumbing for the building was an issue though, as well as the electronic room key system.
