It was a very poor experience and would not recommend moving there due to a lack of care by the management of their residents and the lack of empathy for others causing crappy living conditions. The facilities and communication were very poor as well as they would not alert you when things are going on such as increase in rent over time. more

Townes Hall

McGlothlin Hall

My room was toward the end of the hall by the stairwell, so I heard more noise than most. Additionally, lots of people used McGlothlin hall as a way to cut from the parking lot to the other halls, so there was a good bit of foot traffic. All in all, a pretty decent place to live, just noisy on busy nights for night life. more

Chiles Hall

While the hall could be a bit loud at times, it was nice to have the ease of seeing people in other dorms because all of the sophomore dorms were connected. The rooms were fairly new and well kept and the bathrooms were as well. Each level of Chiles also had a lounge with 2 couches, a chair, and a TV to hang out with your hallmates. The staff were very friendly and the dorm had a good atmosphere. more

Geer Hall

Geer Hall is great for freshmen because it is closest to the academic buildings and student center. I lived on 300, so walked all the flights of stairs sometimes got on my nerves; however, our maitenance was much better than the other SoHo dorms. more

Its a nice apartment complex, but very expensive and has many rules which and looking at the apartment and constant power outages, its not exactly worth it. I would also look at some of there other properties for a second opinion. more

Manly Hall

I really enjoyed my time in Manly Hall. I lived in a double room on floor 100. I lofted my bed to have more room, but the room was already spacious enough as is. The bathrooms are communal. Floor 100 has a connector hall, so there are two bathrooms on that floor. One bathroom has four stalls and four showers. The other bathroom has three stalls and three showers. The biggest challenge living in Manly is laundry. There are three floors and only three washers and three dryers for the whole hall. This results in the washers and dryers being full most of the time. Despite this issue, Manly is one of the nicer dorms in South Housing, and I enjoyed living there for my freshman year. more

I love my experience with Poteat Hall, but I wish some things could have been better. The bathroom hygiene was could have been better (that was because of the students, not faculty), it was often loud because of students, and I wish we had a better common area. more
