Coughlin Dorm Reviews at Gonzaga

The building itself is very safe, with multiple security cameras and keycard operated doors. The staff are very friendly, and the custodians are very good at their job. Each floor has a laundry room on both wings, free of charge to residents. There are always fun social events being held throughout the week for students to participate in - ice cream socials, coffee hour, movie nights, etc. The views from each dorm room are stunning. As the newest dorm, Coughlin is well-maintained and truly feels homey; there's enough room for each resident, so you don't feel like you're living on top of each other. It's really easy to build a community with the people on your floor. Each floor has a kitchen, 2-3 common areas, and there's also a music room on the second floor with a baby grand piano and two practice rooms attached. There's a library on the second and fourth floors. Overall, the best freshman dorm safety and comfort-wise.

As far as freshman dorms at Gonzaga, Coughlin was pretty good. It's the newest dorm building on campus, so everything is up to date and works well. The showers and common spaces are generally clean. The kitchens get really dirty but I feel like that's just about any college. As far as location, it's on the outer part of Gonzaga's relatively small campus, and it's about a 4-6 minute walk to the student center and about 10-12 from the main buildings where classes are. (If you're a nursing student it'll be about 20 minutes to the nursing building)
