Buchanan Dorm Reviews at ISU

Buchanan has a very welcoming staff of RA's who helped ease the transition into college. They're always there if you have questions or need help with something. I also really enjoy how I have met many of my new friends here that will create friendships that last a lifetime.

Buchanan is one of the more expensive dorms on campus due to it having suite rooms. Personally I think I was put in one of the best rooms in the building. I had a corner suite which is the first room on the left on each main hallway. My room was the size of a normal double suite plus a normal single suite, so it was larger than all the rest. The corner suites also have their own bathroom so me and my roommate didn't have to share with 2 other people like the other suites had. Its a nice dorm with good ac & elevators. The only big flaw is the location of the building. Its one of the furthest away from any dining halls or from classroom buildings, since it is south of campus.

I always felt very safe there and hardly had any issues with noise in the dorms. Any time there was something that needed to be fixed, the staff was always really nice and helpful! The RA's are easy to work with and are there for you. When I moved in it was clean and the furniture was easy to put together.

I have loved my time living in Buchanan. The staff here are so friendly especially one of our janitors, Jason. I can't say enough good things about him. All of our staff help keep the building clean and safe. Our CA's are always willing to help us out even if it is at 4:00 AM. Buchanan is a suite styled dormitory, so our bathrooms are in our rooms.
