Lincoln Avenue Residence (LAR) Halls Dorm Reviews at University of Illinois

Lincoln Avenue Residence Halls are good, traditional halls. They do not offer anything super unique or special, but they are a good distance from the main campus. The halls are well kept by the maintenance staff.

Very quiet. Most of the rooms in my halls are doubles but only one person lives in each. Not social at all and very hard to make friends. Because of covid there wasn’t a lot of get togethers either which made it even harder to make friends.

I was at LAR for my freshman year. I loved the diversity of students that were housed here and I met life long friends. I loved that it wasn't the party dorm or the dorm that everyone sought out to live in.. it was a hidden gem!
