Turner Hall Dorm Reviews at ISU

It's been very fun to be able to meet my peers within the dorms, but the noise level can sometimes be a little too loud and if you are already within one of the dorm room floors you can get into any other floor regardless of time, which I think is what is the cause for most of the noise.

Turner Hall is a good place to live but has many flaws. Some of the better things about Turner Hall are the people you meet are friendly and many could end up being great friends, attached directly to the dining hall, the view especially from the 8th floor is wonderful to look at, etc. Although, the flaws with Turner Hall include no air conditioning for individual rooms, the elevators will sometimes skip floors without reason, depending on the floor the people on it could be extremely loud, the parking lot fills up really quickly and can be annoying for people who have late classes or get out of class late, the rooms are rather small, etc. Depending on the person it might or might not be a right fit, but you'll never know unless you check it out yourself.

Turner hall was literally in the middle of campus making it very convenient for students as far as classes were concerned. Also, Turner hall provide meal plans known as flex and with hat you could buy things from other stores on campus with your ID.

Living at Turner Hall Residence at Idaho State University was an incredible experience! The benefits of residing on campus were abundant. Firstly, it provided the perfect opportunity to meet friends from diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of community and lifelong connections. Whether studying together in the common areas or participating in the residence events, there was always a supportive network of peers. Moreover, having easy access to various on-campus activities was a major advantage. From sports facilities to clubs and cultural events, there was never a shortage of things to do. Turner Hall Residence truly enhanced my university journey by creating an enriching, vibrant, and fulfilling environment.

I chose to stay at Turner Hall my freshman year of college and I have really enjoyed it. Turner Hall is in a prime location for all activities. It is the only Hall that is attached to the dining hall which is very convenient when the weather is not great. It is also a 2 minute walk from the gym and a 10 minute walk to the SUB. This year, Turner Hall has gone through a lot of cosmetic updates including new carpet, new furniture, and new doors. There has been a complete remodel of the main floor and it really feels welcoming. While the bathrooms are not brand new, they do function well and are cleaned almost every day. Turner Hall also has access to a 24/7 computer lab which is very convenient. As for the social aspect, I really enjoy Turner because you are always seeing people in the common areas and can get to know others easily. I have made some very great friends this year and I think living in Turner greatly influenced that. I have very much enjoyed my time in Turner Hall and I think it is the best opportunity for first year students.

Turner Hall is the cheapest on-campus option available and it shows. During the beginning of the Fall semester, you are left in sweltering heat as the individual dorm rooms reach temperatures of over 90 degrees. However, it is directly next to one of the dining options so I personally like it for that.
