Johns Hopkins University Dorm Reviews

🧐 What do students think about the dorms at Johns Hopkins?

Wolman Hall

6 Reviews

By far, Wolman Hall is the best dorm in the university. You get privacy in your dorm room and still will be able to socialize with others in the common room. It is the best of both worlds. With a study room, common kitchen, gym, computer room as well as a gaming room, there is nothing that this dorm lacks. more

McCoy Hall

I love how quiet and homey it is in McCoy. We all have an understanding that we are all students and need our study time and sleep. We are all very respectful our public spaces, and there is rarely any problems with our residents. Definitely the best dorm on campus, as well as being the cheapest! more

AMR II

It was great and lived up to its title as the “social” freshman dorm. Made many friends during my time there. Cleanliness left much to be desired but this wasn’t specific to the dorm, just a product of putting a bunch of teenagers together! more

Charles Commons

Most up to date dorm with private bathrooms and kitchenettes. Can be quite loud given all the neighborhood construction going on. Very convenient location near dining hall, St. Paul shops and restaurants. Gym is quite small though more

Bradford

Loved the location of this dorm, it was super close to the main street stores and restaurants but also super close to campus. The quality of the living spaces is pretty modern though some of the rooms are a little small but still great quality furniture and appliances. more

AMR III A & B

It's a nice space if you prefer a quiet dorm area. It is in suite style, meaning there can be a two doubles or a double and a single. It is a very serene and clean environment and is a convenient distance from many locations on campus. more

AMR I

1 Review

AMR 1 is a typical communal style college dorm. The housing is acceptable, and the communal bathrooms are generally kept clean. While rooms are single sex, floors are co-ed. If this negatively influences your desire to live in this dorm, then I would consider applying for some of the other housing at the Homewood Campus. Other than that, I don't have many complaints about AMR I. more
