University Village Dorm Reviews at Kennesaw State

I love my dorm. However, my elevators have been broken more than once since school started in August. Also, our Common Areas are very generic and do not feel student friendly. There is no main reception area for my dorm, so you walk in and are right at the rooms, it feels very unfriendly.

It was very comfortable for me, my roommates were all nice and I was able to keep to keep to myself for the most part. The only problem was the the constant pranks like pulling the fire alarm and putting oil on the stairs. Other than that, it's safe and lively for a freshman dorm!

It could hear through the walls which was very frustrating when trying to study or sleep. People vandalized the stairwells a lot and sometimes maintenance wouldn’t come. I think it was still a great experience, just wish it could’ve been managed a little better.

University Village was an awesome dorm. Everyone had their own bathrooms and a full kitchen. I enjoyed my stay there. It felt like I had my own apartment with roomies. It wasn't your ordinary freshman dorm with public bathrooms and small rooms.

I lived on the first floor of University Village from August 2017- July 2018. I was really satisfied with the floor plan and living space. The location was perfect with exists to the campus or the parking garage!

I would say that the university Village is a pretty cool and mellow place to live in for campus. The staff keep thing tidy enough for it me livable and the dorms can be very relaxing and not a lot of noise coming from the other dorms.

Living at this dorm was a good experience and I would encourage students to choose this as their dorm as an incoming freshmen. It is really clean and the RA's know what they are doing. Make sure to keep your space clean to avoid running into pests though.

The location of UV is very convenient since it is very close to the Commons, Student Center, and Campus Green. We have a floor group chat where we discuss events and just general topics related to UV.

University Village is a good living experience. I never had any major problems. I think that the elevators should be updated for the students however. The building is decent and the RA's were very sweet.

Very loud, the walls are very thin. There are quiet hours but very rarely are they obeyed. Very close to Commons so it is really easy to get something to eat. Not sharing bathrooms are a plus. Not bad

We have pretty noisy neighbors but it's a gamble when you move in. I wish floors were separated by gender because it would probably be a little less noisy and I might feel a little safer. The good thing is that your door to the dorm has a passcode and each individual room has a deadbolt, so the safety once you're in the dorm is pretty good. Pretty nice dorms for college. Very spacious, but they don't really clean before you move in and it can be difficult to clean once all your stuff is here.

I lived in a 4x4 dorm on the fifth floor of University Village, an on-campus dorm building, and it was an overall good experience. Maintenance was very quick and responsive when I had issues with my bathroom or washer/dryer. The only issue I had a few times throughout the year was with the internet connection; however, the university was aware of the situation and has made strides toward bettering it. Each resident in this style of dorm had his or her own room and bathroom, and the four of us shared a kitchen, living room, and washer/dryer. There were different layouts available, though, including options with less roommates or shared bathrooms. Our RAs were very well trained in solving problems between roommates, as well as making the residents feel as though they can come to them with any and all issues. Though some of the 'floor bonding' events appeared cringey and forced for some people, it did give a sense of unity among a bunch of newly-liberated teenagers who were trying to act like they had it all together. I had a good year living at University Village.

It was a great first-year dorm. There was a lot of room compared to a lot of other colleges. The location was pretty close to just about everything on campus, and the parking deck was not too far either.

The staff is great, and the other students are extremely friendly. It's a bit of a workout to get food because of the distance, but they never disappoint! Although there is a pandemic going on they tried their best to give us freshmen a college experience while still keeping in mind what's going on around us. I have much respect for the residents and other students the were trying to give that experience and also trying to stay positive.

This place is just awesome. I love the atmosphere and the feel of staying here in the village. Everyone is so welcoming and everything is so clean and well kept. I would recommend these dorms to anyone coming to Kennesaw

I love the dorms here. They are wonderful. If only I could live here. The bathroom are always clean, the living space is just comfy. I'm happy to be in a place like this, so I recommend these place for your dorm room.

It's a great experience. Walking the hallways of my dorm is like walking in a high star hotel. Due to covid I don't really run into much people, but the commons area is always cool to walk past and see people chatting. We even have a nice cafe in the middle of the building that I go to a lot when I don't have time to go to the main campus cafeteria. Privacy is respected here as well and I enjoy that.

Other than not having a new roommate after my first one left due to personal issues, it is overall good. Sometimes the hall smells like weed, but unless the room next to you is smoking, it does'nt come into the dorm.

I loved my experience at University Village. It's mostly upperclassmen so you have a maturity level there not offered in other dorms. Plus, you have the space of an apartment with the convenience of living on campus.

Overall, I have enjoyed my stay at University Village thus far. I would say the best thing about staying here, other than the location, would be the community. The people on my hall are super nice and fun, almost all of us are good friends now!
