Marlatt Hall Dorm Reviews at K-State

The staff are super nice and the cleanliness and integrity of the common areas is based on the students present. I enjoy the location and how close it is to the engineering building and student union, however it is pretty far from the business and chemistry buildings.

Great overall, the staff are friendly and helpful. Also with COVID-19 cleanliness was kept to a really high standard and some Synexis machines were installed in the rooms to help with that. The safety of students was/is extremely important for Marlatt Hall and K-State Dining and Housing.

I'm a freshman, and because of COVID, I spend the majority of my time in my dorm. It's generally quiet and people are friendly, the walls are kinda thin though so if someones loud you can definitely hear them.

I have had an amazing time at Marlatt Hall and have had some amazing RAs and I had trouble with my first room regarding the AC but once I moved rooms everything was perfect. I live in the suites so I can't really review the community bathrooms though.

The female hallway has a lot of foot traffic as people walk to the dining hall through the stairwell at that end of the floor. Overall the employees were friendly and helpful; there were exceptions but that is to be expected with any organization.

Overall, my experience at Marlatt was a positive and growing time of my life. Although they certainly weren't the nicest dorms on campus, they definitely got me through my freshman year of college and prepared me to live on my own this year.
